Palmer’s musical career began at age 14 when his brother purchased him a basic six-string acoustic guitar. Feeling at home with the new instrument, he started writing songs immediately and provided entertainment at numerous family events.

Now, an accomplished musician, Rhett has written countless jingles and uplifting corporate theme songs known widely from exposure on radio and television. One such jingle was his nationally recognized slogan for the American Red Cross, which filled media channels for over ten years, winning two prestigious Gold Addy Awards (for outstanding production in advertisement).

Palmer’s commanding vocals placed first at the Nashville Music City Song Festival, and his “positive thinking” album has been a worldwide success. A devout Christian, Palmer’s repertoire also includes spiritual numbers that provide solace to those less fortunate.

The quest to recognize and pay tribute to our fighting men and women became a priority during the Gulf War. His first album dedicated to the American armed forces, Stand Up For America, was released at a time when outspoken patriotism was out of fashion. Thus "Patriotic Palmer" was born, giving the modern maestro solid footing as a true asset in the fight to uphold American values and protect our precious way of life.

Palmer's talents were soon utilized nationwide by grateful entities like the United States Military Academy at West Point, where his vocals energized a boisterous crowd during one of many special events honoring the stars & stripes. He performed throughout the 1990's at various military bases and installations like the Key West Naval Air Station, and wherever his valuable, audience-pleasing services were desired.

Palmer recently completed another special record entitled American Roads. This latest pride-filled CD offers strength to those touched by the tragic events of September 11th, 2001. He will also donate a healthy portion of the proceeds collected from American Roads to the children of our nation’s fallen police officers and firefighters. This project has a full complement of songs ranging from uplifting, country-inspired tracks including the radio-friendly Stand Up for America and the formidable Don't Burn My Flag...If You Want to be My Friend to touching, introspective ballads like the autobiographical My American Song.
